Hey folks! We’ve had another busy week here at Kilo Code! A new frontier model by the name of Code Supernova dropped, our GitHub repo hit 10k stars, and we launched our new Enterprise Plan! (More details on Enterprise here)
Now on to our extension updates for the week;
Models Galore!
It’s been a wild week for models alone! Like I mentioned above, Code Supernova has been available for free through Kilo Code (and now has a 1 million token context window), but GPT-5 Codex is also now available via the OpenAI provider, Grok 4 Fast is on the xAI provider, and Claude 4.5 Sonnet is available on all supported providers!
GPT-5 Codex was grabbing a lot of attention, and it seems pretty great, but very shortly after, Claude 4.5 Sonnet dropped and is blowing folks away. You can read about how significant this model feels for coding here!
The Autocomplete Gutter Animation
Some folks might be familiar with our Vegas slots machine-esque version of our iconic logo;
And you might also be familiar with the fact that it will run in the margin during autocomplete tasks. I’ll be honest, users have either enjoyed it or they really, really didn’t! So our team added an option to your Display Settings to disable it! Customizability wins again!
Fixes!
Our team and contributor ivanarifin resolved the authentication token issues that some folks were experiencing with Gemini models!
We made sure that the autocomplete status bar doesn’t appear when autocomplete is disabled.
The rate limiter will no longer exceed your timeout settings.
You can now cancel code indexing thanks to Ffinnis!
Model Updates!
You can now disable reasoning for DeepSeek v3.1 and Grok 4 Fast
We also added new models for Chutes AI and SambaNova
Roo Merge!
We merged in Roo Code v3.28.0 with #2504 and v3.28.2-v3.28.7 with #2623; thanks to the Roo team as always, and a big shout out to our very own chrarnoldus and kevinvandijk for the heavy lifting!
That’s it for this week, thank you to our dedicated team and all our contributors! Check our discord channel for specific links or see the entire list on our repo!
