We're thrilled to announce the release of Kilo Code 4.19.0! This update showcases our commitment to rapid iteration and community responsiveness, with every enhancement directly inspired by feedback from our growing user base. As we continue to build Kilo Code as the comprehensive superset of AI coding assistants, we're particularly proud that this release is entirely community-driven.
Fixes added by the Kilo Code team
Easier way to add credit when your balance is low
We have many users who love the fact that we have transparent pricing that matches the AI model provider’s pricing exactly - without Kilo Code taking any percentage on top. Our plan is to offer the best open source AI coding assistant, with a superset of the features of the other VS Code extensions on the marketplace. And we plan to make money from enterprise contracts, not individual developers.
To make this even simpler, v4.19.0 ships with the ability for you to control if and when your Kilo Code balance is reloaded from your saved payment method. That way there is no monthly minimum, no hidden fees, and you are completely in control of what you spend.
UI improvement for dark themes
If you’re like us, you have your own favorite VS Code theme that makes you feel as productive as possible. And we want to make sure that Kilo Code is the best possible experience, no matter what theme that is.
Kilo Code v.4.19.0 ships improvements to our UI elements in dark themes, and we are continuing to work to make sure everyone can use Kilo Code the way that works for them.
What’s Next
As we mentioned earlier, these changes all came based on feedback from our growing community - both on GitHub and Discord. If you have ideas about how to improve Kilo Code or features from your favorite other AI coding agents that we should include in our superset, please join those communities and let us know!
Follow our blog here or our GitHub releases for all the latest features. You can also view and comment on our Public Roadmap directly on GitHub. And if you haven’t updated or tried Kilo Code recently, install it today and give it a try.
Don’t just code by the line, code by the kilo.
